Introducing The Nest

Our Center will assist our special needs adults with exciting opportunities for socialization and job skill training while providing Learning and volunteer opportunities. Our Center will also house arts and crafts, music and sensory room and other exciting activities.

We are located at 14855 Blanco Rd. In the Courtyard Business Center.

Our team will be lead by Christina Leach former NISD ALE teacher. Christina is a passionate advocate and educator dedicated to providing authentic learning experiences for individuals with special needs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

Christina began her career as a 2nd grade teacher in the San Antonio Independent School District, where she honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the importance of inclusive education. She later transitioned to the Northside Independent School District where she spent a decade as a Special Education teacher for grades K-8. Her innovative teaching methods earned her recognition as Educator of the Year.

Christina is a devoted wife and mother of four children. Her journey was influenced by one of her children who has special needs. Her personal and professional experiences fuel her dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of The Nest, ensuring that each individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Alongside her will be Samuel Espurvoa who will serve as our Operations Director. Samuel is a passionate community organizer who fosters engagement through inner-city initiatives, including homeless dinners and youth development programs. With 8 years of experience as a Little League Baseball coach and a Cub Master. Samuel has mentored young athletes in teamwork and sportsmanship. Samuel has also served as an administrator at an inner-city charter school for 12 years, dedicating yourself to mentoring and educating youth. Additionally, Samuel has worked with special needs children and adults, assisting in their development and helping them navigate life's challenges.

Samuel is a husband and father. Samuel also had been impacted by the nieces and nephews who have been impacted with a diagnosis.

We are excited about serving our community.
